The 3-star Misty River in Johannesburg (KwaZulu/Natal) offers accommodation in six self-catering units and one honeymoon suite.
The honeymoon suite or Lovebird Room is the only room in the main house and has an en suite bathroom, TV, air conditioning, fridge and coffee and tea facilities. The other six rooms are all self-catering. The Sunbird and Ostrich rooms each have a queen size and two single beds, the Rooivink and Ostrich rooms each have four single beds, the Robin room has a queen size bed and four single beds and the Barnowl cottage has eight single beds and a double sleeper couch. Every self-catering unit has air conditioning, fan, heater and a fully equipped kitchen with a toaster, kettle, small stove, microwave and cutlery and crockery.
Breakfast is served daily and dinner on request. There are two conference venues for up to 150 guests and all standard equipment is provided. The Misty River has a chapel and two wedding venues for up to 220 guests. Teambuilding facilities are available and there is a swimming pool, library, herb garden and secure parking.
Activities and attractions in the area include horse riding, golf, spas, flea markets, shopping malls, restaurants, museums, Nasrec Exhibition Centre, FNB Stadium, Apartheids Museum, Gold Reef City and township tours to Soweto.
