The Free State province was formerly known as the Orange Free State province. Truly a piece of land so beautiful it brings calmness to the soul. The Free State province is home to plenty of traditional South African game, such as Springbok, the white rhino, kudu as well as buffalo and many more. These animals can be seen at the Soetdoring Nature Reserve near Bloemfontein.
The most popular part of the Free State province is the north eastern part where most of the main tourist attractions and small towns are. Small breathtaking little towns such as Clarens is a definite must see, which is situated close to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
