| Xaus Lodge's isolation allows you to experience the unspoiled splendour of the vast Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Crafted to blend into the landscape, this 24 bed luxury lodge is owned by the Khomani San and Mier communities. !Xaus Lodge is an isolated Lodge, set on the edge of a vast salt pan. Guests come to the Lodge to experience the vast isolation of the desert, and get to meet and interact with the two local communities - the Khomani San and Mier. The Lodge buildings comprise twelve individual en-suit chalets, with a communal dining and boma areas. During the day guests are offered opportunities to go walking in the dunes with the Knomani San trackers, and visit them in a re-created craft village. The Lodge is mainly staffed by the local Mier community whose culinary traditions dominate the Lodge catering. The tariff includes accommodation, full board and involvement in all activities, as well as transfer to and from the park's Kamqua picnic site. The only excluded costs are for beverages, park entry fees, craft sales and gratuities. !Xaus Lodge is in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, and game viewing is of primary interest. |
